A: This year, we will be staying in Watauga Hall located on the campus of NC State University. We don't have an assigned Residence Hall for UNC Charlotte yet. All dorm rooms are air-conditioned and shared with a roomate. If you wish to room with a specific firend, you and your friend must request. We need confirmation from both parent/guardians to assign you and your friend to the same room. Students who register without a roomate request will be paired with a student of the same age group.
A: Overnight campers should report to Watauga Hall, on the campus of NC State University, between 12:00 pm and 2:00 p.m on Sunday. Campers should bring their completed medical form. There will be a brief parent meeting before our Send-Off Rally.
A: The campers’ parents, family, and friends are invited to the closing ceremony. Parents should plan to pick up their campers, the artwork, and all other belongings starting at 4pm.
Return the key and the entry card to the Camp Site Coordinator at the dorm after packing up your luggage between 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
A $20 key deposit will be refunded at check-out if you return the key and the entry card.
A: You will recieve your room key once you arrive and check-in. After you have completed the check-in process, collect your luggage and belongings, and proceed to your dorm.

A: Yes, but you MUST observe The Portal Summer Camp's Phone Policy addressed below.
We want the students to get the full learning experience without a distraction. Students may have cell phones for various reasons, but they must be turned off and put away during studio classes and enrichment events. Cell phones can cause distractions, which cause accidents which we would like to avoid. However, a cell phone can be used for a non-instructional time, class research projects, an emergency, and in the dorm.
A: All balances should be paid in full by June 1st
A: Deposit Fees are non-refundable. Give us a call or an email and let us know. We will be happy to refund your tuition (minus the deposit fee) up until June 1st. After that date, no refunds will be available.
